Baby Eli's Shower Brunch
Sometimes baby showers happen after the baby is already born! My nephew was born in June and in July we got to shower him and my little sister with love. It was so great, he got passed around and loved on by everyone while Mama got to open gifts.
My aunt Carol used to always make us our favorite scones on our summer visits to Nebraska. To this day, she pulls out her old copy of Southern Living from the 1980s that has a whole spread on scone recipes, and she bakes us our favorites. I made a few adjustments and tried out a new recipe too. The great thing about these scones is you can make them ahead of time and throw them in the freezer before baking. The morning of the shower I popped these into the oven to bake. (You can bake them the day before, but lets be honest, that just does not EVEN compare to eating them warm out of the oven.) Get the recipe for cranberry-orange scones.
Easiest. Dish. Ever.
Frozen mini waffles. Check. Tray of Chick-Fil-A nuggets delivered TO MY DOOR with the handy-dandy Waitr app. Check. What-a-burger Honey butter I picked up at the grocery store. Check. DONE! If you don't live in the south where all of these things are readily available, or if you don't know what any of these ingredients are...I'm sorry.
